FAQs
Frequently asked questions
What can I expect from my first visit?
You and your therapist will discuss your symptoms, activity level, and goals. The therapist will perform a thorough examination to find the underlying source of your symptoms. You may be tested on posture and gait, range of motion, strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Your therapist may also palpate joints or soft tissue, and use functional tests, such as sit-to-stand or reach tasks, to see how your condition affects everyday life. Once complete, you and your therapist will discuss the best plan of action to achieve the goals you have.
Do you take insurance?
We are out-of-network for insurance. Please refer to the Billing page to learn more.
What forms of payment do you take?
All major credit cards, and HSA/FSA plans are accepted. We do accept motor vehicle accidents with first party auto insurance.
Is there a no-show or cancellation policy?
We have a $100 fee for cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment.
How many sessions do I need?
The length of therapy varies depending on your condition and goals. Some patients may see improvement in a few sessions, while others may need several months of treatment. Your therapist will provide an estimate after your initial assessment. In general, we prefer you see some level of improvement by at least the first 4 sessions. Sessions are typically 1x/week for optimal results.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
In most cases, the state of Washington allows direct access to physical therapy without a physician referral.
